The thesis

Why a recruiting founder ended up building financial infrastructure.

Most software companies that stall out are not broken. They have real customers, real revenue and no path to an exit, so their investors write them down and their operators run out of room. I buy those companies, put them on one shared platform, and rebuild the back office around AI.

What started as recruiting is now the other half of running a company: incorporation, cap tables, payroll, bookkeeping, tax credits, banking and spend. Founders should not have to assemble that from twelve vendors.

“When we originally started Employer.com and then bought Bench, the overarching theme is basically automating an end-to-end platform for the G Suite for the business back office.”
